How to improve love and nurturing for yourself
There are many ways to improve self-love and self-care. Let’s look at just a few ways that are easy to implement in your day-to-day life:
- Spending time alone
For some people, this can be difficult but taking just a few minutes every day to be alone and to work through your own thoughts and feelings can help you to process it better.
- Realising only you can make yourself happy
It can be hard to come to terms with realising that no amount of compliments, material things or love from others can make you happy if you don’t love yourself. This can take time, but you have to work on yourself and make sure you meet your own needs daily.
- Accepting compliments from others and giving them to yourself
If you are an insecure person, you may struggle with seeing in yourself what others see in you. However, it is important to not overthink compliments, to accept them for what they are and to celebrate things you love about yourself.
- Accepting that no one is perfect, and everyone has flaws
